Daily Fantasy Baseball: Vs. LHP – 2013 Split Stat Cheat Sheet
Daily Fantasy Baseball Cheat Sheet – vs. LHP Stats
Daily fantasy sports success depends on the analysis of a myriad of statistics. In daily fantasy baseball, one of the most effective and reliable stats is how well a batter fares against left-handed pitching. If a daily fantasy baseball player can hit LHP, then successful lineup builders should be able to take advantage. Sometimes you can find fantasy value by knowing who these players are and the match-ups they can exploit. The following list is a compilation of the daily fantasy baseball players that are hitting LHP successfully in 2013.
Miguel Cabrera – Left-handed pitcher, right-handed pitcher. Home or away. Cabrera is a must on any daily fantasy baseball team. That said, he has a .415/.515/.817 line vs. LHP. If you need more evidence, you need your head checked.
Adrian Beltre – He’s good vs. right-handed pitching (.307/.351/.516) but better against LHP (341/.381/.626).
Josh Donaldson – The All-Star snub is hitting .360/.422/.660 vs. LHP. He has 23 RBIs in 100 ABs against lefties. Incidentally, Oakland is daily fantasy baseball gold against LHP.
Buster Posey - He’s good vs. RHP, but he’s dominant vs. LHP ( .352/.434/.626).
Alex Gordon – A steal on most daily fantasy baseball sites. Gordon (LHB) adds around 100 points to his AVG, OBP, and SLG against lefties.
David Wright – The Mets captain has risen to another level this season. His OPS vs. LHP (1.035) is nearly 200 points higher than it is against RHP.
Evan Longoria - When left-handed pitching takes the mound, Longoria’s numbers go up (LHP – 1.028 OPS vs. RHP – .797 OPS). So should your fantasy radar.
Hunter Pence - He’s a completely different player against LHP (.941 OPS vs. .699 OPS).
Jhonny Peralta - At his daily fantasy baseball price, he’s a steal vs. LHP (.942 OPS).
Justin Upton - While his average isn’t much better against lefties, his OPS is 200 points higher (.974 OPS).
Cody Ross – He’s a cheap daily fantasy baseball must-play against LHP (.973 OPS).
Everth Cabrera - When he gets on base, he steals and scores. He hits .370/.432/.520 against LHP.
Cody Ransom - Another cheap daily fantasy baseball play against LHP (1.048 OPS).
